This is our resource for viewing A&E Biography's The Mystery of Edgar Allan Poe in your classroom. Great for including with any study of Poe's literature.

The documentary episode is 43 minutes in length and is available for free on Biography's YouTube account (titled, "Tragic Life of Edgar Allan Poe," link also included in our overview).

Students will complete viewing guide questions and discussion questions. The viewing guide questions are detailed, but we've made sure to space them out enough so that it's not too fast for writing down answers.

The discussion questions prompt students to reflect on the content they learned in the film and can be done either independently or in small groups. At the end, you can have the whole class share out.
